FEE: $218.50
Each standard treatment session is 50 minutes in duration and focuses on delivering evidence-based therapy tailored to your specific needs.
-
FEE: Price on Application (POA)
Report writing services are available upon request and are charged separately. Fees vary depending on the purpose, length, and complexity of the report. Please get in touch to discuss your specific requirements.
-
FEE: $1,850
Comprehensive assessments for adult ADHD are offered as a fixed-price package. The total fee of $1,850 includes:
Two in-depth assessment sessions (typically two 80-minute appointments) and a 30-minute feedback session.
Collection and analysis of collateral information, ideally from:
Someone who knew you during childhood.
Someone who knows you well as an adult.
School reports (if available).
Administration and interpretation of relevant psychometric testing.
Completion of a psychological report.
Please note that a diagnosis of ADHD is not guaranteed as part of this process. If a diagnosis of ADHD is not deemed appropriate a full report is unlikely to be necessary. In these instances, the overall fee is discounted as you will not be charged for report writing time and associated administrative costs.
You may wish to check with your GP whether a full report is necessary, or if a brief assessment outcome summary will be sufficient, as this can help reduce costs.
If you are also querying Autism, an additional assessment session may be required at a cost of $350.
Fees are invoiced in two parts. The first of the fee ($1000.00) is invoiced prior the initial assessment and payment is required via bank deposit one week prior to the initial session. The final fee is then invoiced ($850.00) and is due for payment prior to psychological report being released.
Changes to ADHD Assessments and Medication Access in Canterbury
The previous ADHD pathway, which had for many years allowed individuals to use a Psychologist’s assessment report to access stimulant medication through their GP ended on 30 November 2025.
From February 2026, some General Practitioners (GPs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs) will be able to assess ADHD and prescribe stimulant medication. I expect collaborative care models to become more widely adopted.
This model could function as follows:
Experienced psychologists complete comprehensive ADHD assessments.
GPs or NPs take responsibility for prescribing and monitoring medication.
Ongoing therapeutic support helps individuals address broader life impacts.
If you’re seeking an ADHD assessment from me from December 2025 onwards, please be aware that your options for accessing medication will be either through your GP from February 2026 or a Private Psychiatrist (which typically involves additional cost).
Before proceeding, please check with your GP to confirm whether they are willing to consider a Psychologist’s assessment report for the purpose of prescribing stimulant medication. It’s important to note that GPs are not obligated to accept a Psychologist’s report or to prescribe stimulant medication based on it.
ADHD Screening Assessment
If you think you might have ADHD but aren’t sure about committing to a full assessment, you can start with an initial screening appointment. This session includes screening for ADHD as well as other possible mental health concerns.
The cost is $400 and includes a brief summary of the assessment outcome. If you decide afterward to proceed with a full ADHD assessment, the $400 will be deducted from the total cost of that assessment.

Due to the wide variability of presentations within autism, I do not offer a standard assessment package. Instead, I charge based on the time involved in assessment sessions, the review of relevant background information (such as school reports or mental health notes), and any required psychometric measures.
Typically, an assessment includes two in-depth assessment sessions (typically two 80-minute appointments) plus a 30-minute feedback session, with a total cost of $1000. If there are additional support needs or sensory differences requiring further exploration, a third assessment session may be recommended.
Following the assessment, I can provide a range of report options depending on your needs. Fees vary according to the level of detail required, from a complimentary brief assessment outcome summary through to a comprehensive report. You may wish to check with your GP whether a full report is necessary, or if a brief assessment outcome summary will be sufficient, as this can help reduce costs.
